As an Account Executive at Flipboard, you will be responsible for growing revenue from existing small to midsize accounts, and prospecting new business in a fast-paced and evolving entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for managing campaigns from the RFP stage through the end of a campaign –– working closely with Brand Planning, Account Management, Revenue Operations, and other internal teams.

We are looking for individuals based in the Los Angeles area (working remotely in-market or at our shared workspace).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for all brands and agencies on your account list, servicing and growing the business throughout the entire sales cycle
  • Proactively prospecting small to midsize new business, bringing strategic ideas and solutions to potential customers
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends and case studies
  • Deliver compelling media proposals that both educate and drive new business activation to exceed quarterly revenue targets
  • Share regular updates on Flipboard products, services, and offerings
  • Educate clients and agencies on best practices for activating on the platform
  • Leverage data, insights, and measurement to help advertisers achieve their marketing objectives
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams (Brand Planning, Account Management, Revenue Operations) on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives
  • Provide guidance and be a mentor for junior members of the team

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BS/BA degree
  • Deep relationships with contacts at top-tier agencies and advertisers
  • 5-6 years minimum experience in a digital media role, ideally within mobile or video
  • 3-4 years minimum experience in a sales related function
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Google Documents, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong programmatic knowledge/experience
  • Previous tech platform experience
  • Desire to work in a changing, fast-paced start up
  • Driven, passionate, and an ultimate team player
